Team Structure​

Our engineering team is structured by project, with each project having its own dedicated team members:

Project Teams​

Each project at Kirana Labs has:

  • Tech Lead: Responsible for technical decisions, architecture, and leading the development team
  • Engineers: Full-stack engineers working on implementation
  • PM/PO: Project manager or product owner representing client interests and managing project timelines
  • QA: Quality assurance team members who test and validate features

Technology Stack​

Kirana Labs specializes in modern web and mobile development with the following technology stack:

Primary Technologies​

  • Frontend: TypeScript with NextJS 15 (React Server Components)
  • CMS: PayloadCMS v3.24
  • Backend: Node.js v20 (for NextJS projects), Django v5 (for some projects)
  • Database: PostgreSQL
  • Mobile: React Native w/ Expo (iOS and Android)

Supporting Technologies​

  • Caching/Queues: Redis, BullMQ
  • Infrastructure: Railway (primary), with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure based on client requirements
  • Version Control: GitHub
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions
  • Task Management: Plane

Legacy Projects​

Some older projects may use:

  • Angular with Django
  • Other technology combinations that deviate from our current stack

Development Approach​

Agile Methodology​

We follow the Agile methodology for all our projects:

  • Sprint Duration: 1-2 weeks depending on project size
  • Daily Standups: Short daily meetings to discuss progress and blockers
  • Sprint Reviews: Demonstration of completed work at the end of each sprint
  • Retrospectives: Team reflection on what went well and what can be improved

  3. First Month: Deeper integration into your project team and increasing responsibility
  4. Ongoing Support: Regular check-ins with your manager to ensure your success
